Foam fire suppression systems are highly effective in extinguishing flammable liquid fires, where water-based systems are ineffective. How Foam Fire Suppression Works:
These systems use a mixture of water, foam concentrate, and air to create a fire-extinguishing foam that provides three key effects:
Oxygen Deprivation: The foam layer prevents oxygen from reaching the flames, stopping the combustion process.
Vapour Suppression: It reduces fuel vapour release, preventing reignition.
Cooling Effect: The foam lowers the temperature of the burning material, slowing fire spread.
